PRESS RELEASE: 11/22/2019 info@dbsba.com

Who: Daytona Beach Shores Business Alliance aka “Shop The Shores”
What: Small Business Saturday SIDEWALK SALE!
When: Saturday, November 30th, 2019
Where: On the Atlantic Avenue and surrounding corridor
“within the City limits of Daytona Beach Shores, FL “

Event Details:

The Daytona Beach Shores Business Alliance (DBSBA.com) is proud to announce that on Saturday, November 30, 2019 all businesses in the City of Daytona Beach Shores will be allowed to have items on sale outside the business in celebration of the nationally marketed, “Small Business Saturday”.

In helping to promote our small business community, THE CITY OF DAYTONA BEACH SHORES COUNCIL has granted all businesses in Daytona Beach Shores to have a 1-day exemption from the no-sidewalk rule for this special day!

Small businesses are like seashells, each one is unique. One small purchase can make a difference and it is a smart economic decision to jump on the already successful Small Business Saturday, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and the day after Black Friday that is dedicated to supporting small businesses during the busiest shopping weekend of the year.

Participating Businesses: Now is your chance to bring goods (safely) in front of your store to attract attention to your business. Please post your sales and photos on Facebook with the tags: #ShopTheShores and #ShoresMeansBusiness

New City Economic Development Liaison!

Stacy Conomos

If you haven’t met her yet, we are honored to introduce Stacy Conomos, the new Economic Development Liaison from the City of Daytona Beach Shores. DBSBA Volunteers, Kathryn McMillan (A1A Shipping) and Nancy Lilly (Traveltyme) met with the newly hired point-person in an effort to build a stronger business community!  Stacy will be working with Economic Development Liaison City Council Member Rick Frizalone and Business Relation Liaison City Council Member Mel Lindauer as the Economic Development consultant to assist the City’s Economic Development program.  “We have an exciting program available soon offering economic development incentives to local business”, says Ms. Conomos. She needs our help by tagging your social media posts with “#ShoresMeansBusiness” as well as giving her your email so she can contact you for a survey and other information.

Denny’s Wins May Business Spotlight!

Business Spotlight WINNER!

At our April social hour we had a contest who received the most business cards during the social hour got a Business Spotlight ad in our May issue of the STS (Shop The Shores) Newsletter.

Congratulations goes to Marlene Perry, Rosa, Callie of Denny’s! Located at 3162 South Atlantic Avenue, over the past 50 years Denny’s has been bringing on the day with round-the-clock breakfast and casual family dining across America. From freshly cracked eggs to craveable salads and burgers, Denny’s has an endless list of possibilities to fuel your day.
RREMC Restaurants, LLC is the Restaurant Management Company that not only operates our very own local Denny’s but a total of 35 Franchised Restaurants! They follows the philosophy that “in a business of perpetual motion like restaurants to be successful we must be involved in the community, environmentally aware and value our human capital in addition to providing “Wow” guest experiences.”

Their Teams get quite wonderful reviews online, like a recent shout out during bike week, “Watching the grill cooks was like watching a silent symphony! No yelling screaming or confusion, the three cooks worked in unison putting out dozens of perfectly prepared breakfasts” to a simple, “I love Denny’s so much!!!!” from a United Kingdom vacationer.

So even though Denny’s is known for its breakfasts, bottomless cups of coffee and all-American grub, don’t forget this diner has been a local establishment for decades and we are lucky to have such a clean, tidy and wonderfully decorated restaurant open 24/7 but right here beachside!

Happy New Year from the DBSBA!

DBSBA Creates “Shop the Shores” Initiative to Boost Local Economy

cropped-shop-the-shores.pngA group of local businesses in Daytona Beach Shores have banded together to encourage a local economy which has seen its fair share of struggles over the last few years. This band of entrepreneurs, execs, and owners of small mom ‘n’ pop shops have made it their business to help get the word out about how shopping local can support communities and lead to improved quality of living for residents and visitors alike.
