DBSBA Volunteers, Kathryn McMillan (A1A Shipping) and Nancy Lilly (Traveltyme) met with the newly hired point-person in an effort to build a stronger business community! Stacy will be working with Economic Development Liaison City Council Member Rick Frizalone and Business Relation Liaison City Council Member Mel Lindauer as the Economic Development consultant to assist the City’s Economic Development program. “We have an exciting program available soon offering economic development incentives to local business”, says Ms. Conomos. She needs our help by tagging your social media posts with “#ShoresMeansBusiness” as well as giving her your email so she can contact you for a survey and other information.

During the last two elections for City Council, Daytona Beach Shores Business Alliance has held “Meet The Candidates Night” in an effort to let citizens of Daytona Beach Shores get to know the candidates and ask questions that are important to our community.
With only one opposed seat this election, we also decided to offer those who were running unopposed a chance to express their opinions on important issues. We feel it is only fare that the public has the opportunity to post questions and voice their wants and needs before the candidates take office.
This year we are very disappointed that Meet The Candidates Night will have to be canceled due to lack of participation from three of the four candidates.
DBSBA does not endorse any candidate. We do hope you will go to the poles and cast an informed vote.
Event: 2016 Meet the Candidates – Daytona Beach Shores When: Thursday, October 6 at 6p-9p Where: Drive-In Christian Church in the Friendship Hall, 3140 S. Atlantic Ave, DBS RSVP: email@example.com
Note: General Public is invited to attend to this social gathering to learn about DBS candidates ideas and goals. Light refreshments will be served. There may be limited seating depending on RSVPs. The DBSBA has invited all city council candidates running for office in the upcoming city election to this event. We cannot guarantee attendance of any candidate.* Bring your questions to submit to moderator. Be informed before you vote.
*Disclaimer: The DBSBA does not endorse, nor has ever endorsed any specific candidate in any election. As the Business community, we offer this event to our community to allow voters to get to know who is running for office in our city. Our Leads/Networking Groups’ first meeting agenda will include organizing, discussing rules, membership formats for the AM and PM Leads Groups, seek a volunteer to keep minutes of each meeting, acknowledgment of facebook networking group for real-time leads and offering marketing ideas and information. We will also set calendar dates for the remainder of the calendar year and come up with suggestions on future meetings and speakers/tropics. If interested or you need a list of business categories for lead generation, contact Brandie at AMleads@shoptheshores.org Each business will have a chance to showcase their business to the group. We suggest you bring with you a least 2 leads to offer other members to each group discussion.
